Women’s breakfast speaker at District Conference

 The speaker for the women’s breakfast at district conference Saturday, July 31st is Catherine Price. Cathy grew up in Wichita, KS and now lives in Westphalia, KS.  She is a member of the Mont Ida Church of the Brethren and serves as a member of the Nurture Commission of the district.  She has been married for 26 years to James Price.  Between them they have five children, 20 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. 

Cathy enjoys writing very much and is presently working on a daily devotional book in partnership with Connie Rhoades.  Her dream when the book is finished is to put it on a web site where all will be able to view a year of devotions free of charge. 

Cathy’s says there have been many people who have inspired her through the years and one of these persons who impacted her life will be “cameoed” in her talk at the breakfast. 

We invite all of the ladies to join us for breakfast and hear Cathy’s inspiring story.

Projects Unlimited Auction 

Greetings! Just a reminder that the Projects Unlimited auction is just around the corner, July 31! We will have volunteers taking items as they come in on Friday and Saturday. 

We are trying something new with the auction!! A silent auction on the smaller items will take place in order to help with time. The silent auction bidding will occur all day Saturday in the basement of the McPherson Church of the Brethren, ending at 9 p.m. The auction on the bigger items will be in the same place starting at 9 p.m. 

So, Come and support our district, our churches, and our world by either donating items to be auctioned off or join in the fun and help raise money for MANY great causes!!!  If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me at lois.grummert@gmail.com or 785-817-7912.
