To churches of Western Plains District,

     A BIG thank you goes out to all who donated or bought items at this year’s Projects Unlimited auction! We appreciate your aid to so many of our local and global organizations — THANK YOU!!
     Our silent auction went well again this year. Just a reminder that the silent auction closes before worship Saturday evening. There was some confusion this year, and I just wanted to make that’s clear for everyone. It allows us to wrap up the silent auction in preparation for the big auction.
      Here are the designation totals of both auctions combined: Camp Mt. Hermon ($1,842.76), Camp Colorado ($1,722.93), Disaster Response Ministry ($188), Lybrook ($394.15), and Trees for Life ($460). The grand total was: $4,607.84 !! (this includes some donations) The district quilt proceeds ($1,300) went to Camp Colorado. And, in memory of Elaine Sayler, her family donated a quilt that brought $1,100, which went to Camp Mt. Hermon.
    If any of you are wanting to have your church quilt block in the next District Quilt, please send them ASAP to Gloria Wright, 10530 S. Cherokee Road, Modoc, KS 67863. The deadline is November 1.
     Again, thanks to everyone for their generous donations, time and gifts! We are so thankful and blessed to have such giving individuals in our district!!
