Ministry Updates

Roger Elkins, Jr., member of the Wichita First congregation, was licensed to ministry in the Church of the Brethren on May 1. Von Hunn, associate pastor at the Garden City congregation, was ordained to ministry in the Church of the Brethren on June 19. Prayers and blessings to Roger and Von in their ministering journeys.

Women’s Retreat focuses on “God’s Kingdom in My Kitchen”

The Western Plains District Women’s Retreat “God’s Kingdom in My Kitchen” was held April 8-10 at the Cross Wind Retreat Center in Hesston, Kansas. The guest leader was Tara Hornbacker, professor of ministry formation and missional leadership at Bethany Theological Seminary.
