McPherson College has announced its 2015-2016 Ventures in Christian Discipleship course offerings, which include everything from dealing with grief to trends in worship, from the use of technology to human justice issues, and some courses are now available for CEU credit. Ventures courses offer high-quality instruction at a reasonable cost. The goal of the program is to empower lay people, especially in smaller congregations, to more effectively carry out the work of discipleship, following in Jesus’ footsteps to transform ourselves and the world.  Read on for more information. You are invited to journey with others on this new pathway sponsored by McPherson College.

For registration, course descriptions, instructor introductions, and CEU information, go to www.mcpherson.edu/ventures . (See below a brief listing of course offerings)

Broad financial support has meant that MC has been able to keep the cost for the online courses affordable – a high priority in the development of the program. Each course costs just $15 per session, per person. A group rate of $75 for five or more participants joining a course at the same location is also available.

Technology Requirements for Online Courses:  All courses are online and simply require a 250kbps internet connection and a compatible web browser. Mobile devices are possible, but will not give the best results. A desktop or laptop computer with a high-speed internet connection and externally-powered speakers is recommended for the best experience. For groups, a projector and speakers are recommended.
